Brave

The dictionary defines bravery as being ready to face and endure danger or pain; to show courage.
Courage is 'the ability to do something that frightens one.'

Often we think of bravery as fearlessness, but this isn't correct.

Being brave isn't about not feeling fear. It is about doing something even though we fear it.

Bravery is about overcoming fear by facing it even if it will be painful or dangerous.

Bravery is about not letting fear stop you.

How are you going to be brave today?

  1. Oh that's a fabulous page and its good to notice the difference in the word - I hadn't really thought about it but people who I think are brave have feared what they are dealing with but managed it all the same!
