Putting myself out there...

Putting myself out there can be so scary. Fear of rejection still tries to rear its ugly head but I'm stomping on it!

Past experiences can make it difficult to take a risk. I was bullied at school, and those who professed to be my friends joined in with making fun of me at times. Fear of rejection is high on my list of fears.

Yet I know that I have to step out in faith and trust on the next step of my journey. So I've set up a workshop called Engaging Creatively with Psalm 23 - a spiritual journalling workshop - and for the first time I'm advertising it further afield than just in my church.

And if my worst fear comes to pass and no-one is interested, I can hold on to the fact that I am loved by God, by my husband, by my daughter, by my parents, and by my friends.

I am not rejected. I am most definitely accepted. And I will continue to do my best to shine like I was made to do.

  2. Sorry, Sharon, not online. If you happen to be in Adelaide, South Australia, that's where I'll be, doing the workshop in person. However, if you're interested, I would be happy to send you the hand-out when it's done.
