Knowing where you're going

It's okay to not know where you're going.

Sometimes you just have a direction to head in, and it takes a bit of faith to just keep going. It's okay to not have a step-by-step plan for achieving a goal - the way you get there may not be the same as the path as someone else takes. The thing is to keep going, even if the steps are small.

  1. A couple of artists friends and I were just talking about this sentiment, and we're so aware that following another's path can be a catalyst for adventure - for the moment - that will take us so much closer to our own creative being. We don't have to know where we're going if we keep to those small steps, as you say. Beautiful image, Tracy!!

    1. I so agree that following another's path for a bit can inspire. Sometimes, if I'm in a rut I'll do a journal page 'in the style of' someone, using their palette, shapes etc. it can spark off something new.
