Glimpsing
Starting to catch a glimpse through the fog.
When you move to somewhere new you spend a lot of the first few months working out where you fit in, how you can contribute, what life will look like for you in this new place.
Now the dust is settling from opening all our boxes and the house is starting to feel like home. The week is beginning to get a shape. The fog is beginning to clear.

It took us 6 months to start to feel at home in our new house and not miss our old life. It was a funny combination of excitement and fear of the unknown and we still think back of our old house with nostalgia - so many memories there in the previous 15 years! Love your visuals of the fog lifting as you're finding your place in your new surroundings. Enjoy the lovely weather of late - although I find it scary that the days will start getting shorter now all the way till Christmas! xx
ReplyDeleteThanks, Zsuzsa. Yes, it takes more time than you think, doesn't it? I have to admit that I'm looking forward to crisp mornings and a proper short-day Christmas :)
DeleteLoving the layers on this one, Tracy, and it's a great reminder that the fog will lift. Many thanks.
