Colour this quote

Artists in Blogland has recently started a challenge called 'Colour This Quote' and this month one I suggested was pulled out of the hat.

This is great advice. Why would you want to be a pale imitation of someone else rather than your own beautiful self? If you try to be like someone else you are depriving the world of the unique blend of skill, talent, temperament and passion that is YOU.

So stop hiding behind a mask and bless the world by blossoming into the true, authentic person you were made to be.

Be yourself

I like this quote. It is so true. So often we try to be like someone else, wanting their talents, their skills, their gifts. In doing that we neglect the skills, talents, and gifts that we have been blessed with. Instead we should celebrate who we are and endeavour to be the best we can be.

There is only one you.

Be the best one you can be instead of a hollow imitation of someone else.
