Like many artists I like to work in lots of different media. I recently found a piece of copper that I'd forgotten about so I pulled out the jewellery tools and had a little fun.
Some cutting, annealing, folding, doming, and texturing ensued. I spent a happy afternoon wearing a face mask :)
I like the aged look that the finished piece has.
That looks great, Tracy!!! What did you do with the edges (?) that they aren't sharp anymore?
ReplyDeleteAnd did you do this really in just one afternoon? Unbelievable...
Have a nice sunday!

Wow, this really looks great! And if you've already answered Beo's question, I am also interested in it. Can you explain it a little bit, please?
ReplyDeleteI actually replied by email, but for anyone else who is wondering, you just file all the edges so they are rounded rather than sharp. I have a nifty little Dremel tool for this but you can do it by hand as well.
