Circle Journal - journal

So, the first journal has arrived in the circle journal for 2015, from Dawn. Yay! Her theme is peace.

This page has lots of layers, although it looks simple on the surface of it. I wanted to keep the lightness as that speaks to me of peace. I like the way the greaseproof paper gelli-print goes across the page break, linking the two pages.

Off to the right a tag is attached to the top of the page and that is where I put my thoughts. Here are some close-ups of it, front and back:

And here it is attached with ribbon:

And this is Dawn's journal, with covers, end pages, and her pages on peace:

Loving this blingy cover! Unfortunately, you can't feel all the lovely texture through the blogosphere, but let me tell you, it's fabulous.

    1. You just have to jump in, Susan! It really never goes away, that feeling that it's someone else's journal so we have to be super careful. One way to get over it is to do your page on a separate sheet of paper and stick it in afterwards :)
But honestly, I was thrilled with my journal from last year and all the different styles and colours, and I'm sure everyone who worked in it felt that same hesitation as you're feeling now. Besides, you have to get moving as Dawn's journal will be on its way to you on Monday!

  3. So wonderful! Both your and Dawn's spreads are just fantastic! I can so understand what Susan's saying above! That's why I didn't sign up - I would be paralyzed to touch these journals in fear of ruining them! I'm just about getting used to touching mine, LOL! But I'll be following them around the globe through the blog posts!

    1. It is daunting to work in someone else's journal, and that feeling never goes away, no matter how many different ones you work in. But you just have to dive in and go for it, just the same as everyone else in the group does. I love the journal I have from last year.
