The Summer of Colour is back! (See the button in the sidebar under I link up at...) The colour prompt for this week is turquoise and citron green. Hop on over there to join in the fun.
I'm doubly excited because my husband bought a new toy which he has let me play with. Here it is:
This is a time-lapse camera, so if all goes well, there will be a little video below of how I made this page to answer the prompt.
Once I'd put the colours on the page they looked like grass and sky and just reminded me of the summer (although summer here tends to be more brown than green, but my English roots still tell me that green is a summer colour :))
And here are some close-ups of the sunflower stamp which I had made from my own drawing:
And here's the time-lapse video. Next time I'll remember to turn the page round at the end!
Gorgeous sunflowers and they look great being blue too. BJ

ReplyDeleteOh that's cool! What a cool camera and your page is beautiful. It was fun to watch it come together, thank you! xo
ReplyDeleteHi, Tracy :). This is such gorgeous pages!!. I can imagine how nice it is rolling in your fields here, being in peace & balance. I thoroughly enjoyed watching your video too, neat thing a time-lapse camera :).
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous page, Tracy! I really love it! The self-made stamp is wonderful! May I ask how you made it (which material)?
ReplyDeleteI watched the video first and wanted to make a comment about it: I enjoyed it, but if it is possible, you should think about putting the camera some place behind you, so that the viewers don't see everything upside down.
Anyway, that was your first trial, and it was well done!
I had the stamp made by a place in Scotland that sadly no longer provides this service. You used to be able to fill an A4 sheet with your own black and white art and they would turn the whole thing into stamps for you.
DeleteI understand about the camera angle but unfortunately there really isn't anywhere I can put the camera behind me without falling over it every time I lean over to reach for something. I'm hoping that if I remember to turn the page round at the end everything will become more clear :)
Oh, how I like your colours, no wonder, because they are my favorites. I couldn't find the video - again no wonder - I am in holidays and on a vwery restricted internet connection.
ReplyDeleteLove the page...really cool that you did a time lapse video as well!
ReplyDeleteWhen I have some time I will be back to watch your video! Thank you for sharing, I love your art!
