What do you wish you could be shielded from?
We all wish to be protected from certain things. The problem is, if we don't face difficulties, we don't grow. We can't just hide and hope that they will go away.
A Roman soldier's shield was large enough to crouch behind for protection, but it also had a boss to push forward with. There are times when we need to hunker down, but there comes a time to push on through. The shield is in front of you in both situations, but in one case it helps us move forward.
