Here comes summer

 

Here comes summer. How do I know? A 38C day, that's how. Thankfully the next day was back down in the low twenties and a cool breeze blew through the house when I opened the doors and windows. Thank heaven for screen doors.

I still find it strange that we are ramping up for a hot summer when everyone else is cooling down for Christmas.

    I had to smile when I saw you ramping up for summer. We are now getting the first snowfalls, icy streets and heading towards the bone-chilling cold days that keep us so much more indoors. Isn't it a wonderful world when we can communicate to easily one end of it to another, and appreciate the widely different lives we lead. Life is just fabulous!

      It is so weird, isn't it? No wonder it feels like Christmas is months away. I can't shift that northern hemisphere mindset where I need days to shorten and the weather to get colder to get ready for the holidays.
